Before conducting the water test, we will carefully check all interfaces, valves and seals to ensure that all equipment inside and outside the box is installed correctly and firmly, close all drain valves and vent valves, and open the water inlet valve and related connecting valves.
Inject clean water into the box through the water inlet. During the water injection process, we will closely observe the water level rise and check whether there are any signs of leakage outside the box. Fill the box with water to make the water level reach the highest water level line required by the design.
After the water injection is completed, close the water inlet valve and let the box stand for a period of time, usually 24 hours. Make the water in the box stable so that the sealing can be detected more accurately.
During the pressure maintenance period, regularly check various parts of the box, including welds, joints, valve periphery, etc., to check whether there are any leakage phenomena such as water droplets seepage, water droplets condensation or water marks. At the same time, check whether the water level has dropped significantly. If the water level drops beyond the allowable range, it means that there is a sealing problem in the box.
After the test is completed, open the drain valve to drain the water in the box.
If the box is found to have sealing problems during the water test, the leakage parts should be marked in time, the causes should be analyzed, and corresponding repair measures should be taken, such as repair welding, replacement of sealing gaskets, tightening of connecting bolts, etc. After the repair is completed, the water test should be carried out again until the box sealing meets the requirements.
