The 0.5–2m³ stackable self dumping hopper is designed for collecting, moving and discharging construction debris, scrap and other bulk materials with a forklift. Its reinforced mild-steel structure, controlled tipping design and stackable configuration make it suitable for construction sites, workshops and waste-handling areas where materials need to be moved frequently.
Available in Q235 or Q345 mild steel, the hopper can be supplied in different capacities, colors and configurations to match your operating conditions. Optional casters, lids and tarpaulins are also available.

Note: Rated load should be selected according to hopper size, steel configuration, material density and forklift capacity. If you are handling particularly heavy construction debris, please provide the material type and required volume when requesting a quotation.
Construction sites generate materials with very different sizes and densities. Concrete fragments, bricks, timber offcuts and metal scrap place different demands on a hopper compared with lightweight packaging or general workshop waste.
This self dumping hopper uses a reinforced steel body and bottom chassis for repeated material handling. The 0.5–2m³ capacity range allows buyers to select a hopper according to the available forklift, material density and waste volume rather than relying on one standard configuration for every application.
Typical materials include:
Brick and masonry debris
Concrete fragments
Timber offcuts
Metal scrap
Packaging waste
Renovation waste
General construction and demolition debris
For dense materials such as concrete or metal scrap, the required load capacity and steel thickness should be confirmed before production.
The hopper is designed to work with forklifts, allowing construction waste and bulk materials to be moved between work areas, collection points and larger waste containers without relying entirely on manual handling.
When selecting a hopper, the forklift capacity should always be considered together with the weight of the hopper and loaded material.
Once positioned for unloading, the tipping structure allows the hopper to discharge materials efficiently. A dumping angle of approximately 60°–75° helps reduce material remaining inside the hopper after discharge.
This is particularly useful where repeated loading and unloading are required throughout the working day.
The standard hopper uses 3 mm mild-steel side plates, with thicker plates available for more demanding applications.
The RHS 200 × 100 × 5 mm bottom chassis provides structural support during forklift handling and dumping operations.
Q235 mild steel is commonly used for standard applications, while Q345 steel can also be supplied depending on the required strength and project specification.
The stackable hopper design helps reduce the amount of space required when multiple empty units are stored or transported.
This can be particularly useful for contractors, distributors and bulk buyers purchasing several hoppers at one time, where warehouse space and container loading efficiency are important procurement considerations.
Stacking arrangements should be confirmed according to the selected hopper size and configuration.
Each hopper can be finished with:
Two coats of primer
Two coats of top coat
Zinc-based epoxy primer
Urethane top coating
Custom color according to customer requirements
The coating system helps protect the steel surface during normal industrial use while allowing buyers to match the hopper with company or fleet colors.
Different sites require different handling methods. Available options include:
Universal casters
Lid
Tarpaulin
Thicker steel plates
Custom dimensions
Custom capacity
Custom paint color
If you already have drawings or a required specification, Hero Equipment can also evaluate the design for production.
The hopper is intended to simplify the movement and unloading of bulk waste with a forklift.
A typical operating process includes:
1. Position the hopper for loading
Place the hopper on a stable surface and load construction waste or other materials without exceeding the specified capacity.
2. Pick up the hopper with the forklift
Insert the forklift forks correctly into the designated handling position and ensure the hopper is stable before lifting.
3. Move the hopper to the discharge area
Transport the loaded hopper at a safe height and speed according to normal forklift operating procedures.
4. Activate the dumping mechanism
Once the hopper is correctly positioned over the receiving area, activate the release mechanism to allow the body to tip forward and discharge the material.
5. Return the hopper to the working position
After unloading, make sure the hopper has returned to its normal position and the mechanism is secure before the next loading cycle.
The exact operating procedure may vary depending on the final hopper configuration ordered.
Use the hopper to collect brick fragments, concrete debris, timber offcuts and mixed construction waste close to the working area before transferring it to a larger waste container.
For commercial and industrial renovation work, a forklift self dumping hopper provides a practical way to move demolition waste between indoor or outdoor collection points.
The hopper can also be configured for handling metal offcuts, scrap components and production waste generated during fabrication or construction-related manufacturing.
Where forklifts are already used for internal logistics, self dumping hoppers can be integrated into the existing material-handling process for scrap and waste collection.
Choosing a self dumping hopper should not be based on volume alone.
Before ordering, consider the following factors:
Light packaging waste and dense concrete debris can have very different weights even when they occupy the same volume.
Tell us what material you plan to handle so the appropriate structural configuration can be evaluated.
Standard capacities range from 0.5 to 2.0m³, while customized dimensions and capacities are also available.
Smaller capacities may be more suitable where working space is limited, while larger hoppers can reduce the number of material-handling cycles.
The forklift must be able to safely handle the combined weight of the hopper and its contents.
Provide the forklift capacity or model when the application involves particularly dense materials.
The standard side plate thickness is 3 mm. For abrasive, heavy or demanding materials, thicker steel can be specified according to the application.
If the hopper also needs to be repositioned manually when empty, optional casters may be considered.
Lids or tarpaulins can be added where materials need additional containment or protection during storage and transportation.
Different projects may require different dimensions, capacities or structural configurations.
Hero Equipment supports customization including:
